Turkey Pot Pie

Turn your Thanksgiving turkey leftovers into a delicious savory potpie. This delicious savory pie will make your family satisfied with a warm hug (I do not own rights to the photo posted on this page).
Ingredients:
2 tbs Unsalted butter
2 tbs olive oil
1 small onion diced
4 garlic cloves minced
1 small carrot diced
5 sprigs thyme
4 tbs ap flour
2 tbs unsalted butter (if needed)
2 cups turkey cut into bite sized pieces
2 cups chicken or turkey broth
1 cup cream
Peas
2 store bought pie crust
Egg for egg wash
Steps:
1. Melt butter and olive oil.
2. Saute onions and garlic until fragrant.
3. Add carrots and thyme. Saute for about 2 minutes.
4. Add flour and mix with the veggies for about 5 minutes – Add butter if pan is dry.
5. Add turkey, broth and cream – bring to boil and simmer until gravy forms.
6. Add peas
7. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
8. Pour filling in pie crust and top with the other pie crust.
9. Crimp pie crust together and make slits on top.
10. Brush with egg wash and bake for 12 minutes or until pie crust is golden brown.
