I decided to do another video with my nephew. Since football season is still around, I wanted to create a video with my nephew’s favorite “take out”, which is perfect to nibble on as a “bar bite” while watching football – Chicken tenders! This dish is simple to make, quick, juicy, and crunchy. Kids and adults will love this finger food dish. Ingredients:

1 small tray of chicken tenders (6-8 pieces)

Buttermilk (enough to cover chicken tenders)

2 cups of Flour (or more if needed)

Salt and Pepper

1 tsp each : Paprika, Onion Powder, and dried parsley or thyme (optional)

2 tsp garlic powder

Instructions:

  1. Wash and dry chicken tenders.
  2. Season tenders with salt and pepper.
  3. In a bowl, marinade chicken tenders in buttermilk for 15 minutes or more.
  4. Mix flour with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Optional: Add thyme or dried parsley
  5. With your hands or tongs, pick up chicken tenders and drain excess butter milk from chicken tenders. Coat chicken tenders with flour.
  6. Tap off excess flour and coat chicken tenders with buttermilk.
  7. Repeat step #5.
  8. Press chicken firmly into the flour and let it sit for 20 minutes before frying.
  9. Heat up oil and fry tenders until golden brown and cooked through. Let chicken tenders rest on a wire rack to get rid of the excess oil.
  10. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
