Inspired by Giovanni’s Shrimp Truck in Hawaii, I just had to recreate this recipe at home. .  If you love garlic and shrimp this recipe will be perfect for you.  You can serve this as a meal, or just as an appetizer with a baguette.

Here is my recipe good to serve 3 people:

  • 2 Lemons
  • 3 garlic bulbs
  • 4 tbsn. of unsalted butter
  • Pinot Grigio
  • Hawaiian Sea salt
  • Fresh cracked black pepper
  • Paprika
  • Olive Oil
  • 1 lb. of jumbo headless Shrimp deveined with skin on.
  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Cut off the top of  two of the garlic bulbs.
  3. Place garlic bulbs on a foil. Drizzle with olive oil and salt. Wrap the garlic with the foil.
  4. Bake garlic in oven until softened (30-45 minutes).
  5. When garlic is done roasting, cool your garlic. Once garlic has cooled, squeeze out the garlic onto a bowl and mash with olive oil.
  6. Minse 10 cloves of garlic.
  7. Heat up oil with butter. Once melted add minced garlic and saute.
  8. Once fragrant, add wine and cook until reduced by half.
  9. Once reduce, add roasted garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  10. Add more butter and the juice of one lemon.
  11. Once sauce comes together, add shrimp to pan and cook thru.
  12. Serve with fresh steamed rice.
